• Changes in living arrangements such as previously uninvolved relatives or new acquaintances moving in
• Caregiver intruding on an elder's privacy, refusing to allow an elder to visit with anyone alone, removing doors to rooms, reading the elder's mail and obstructing religious practices
• Changes in financial situation, such as unusual banking activity, unppaid bills or the elder's standard of living not being consistant with their means
• Elder expressing that he or she is being exploited or abused
